Dear Parents / Guardians

Welcome back everyone and a special welcome to our new students and their families.  A big welcome to Mrs Nicolle Green who has joined our staff and is teaching in Room 2 and to Ms Catherine Ryan teaching in Room 7 until the end of the year.  We are all looking forward to working with you both.  Congratulations to Indu and Allwyn Netto on celebrating their 25^th Silver Wedding Anniversary.  The staff enjoyed being part of your celebrations.  Congratulations to Katherine and David on the arrival of their baby boy Lachlan Walton on 1^st November.

Students are looking smart in their summer uniforms.  Some spring days are chilly, students may wear shoes and socks.  Please remember hats are a compulsory part of our summer uniform. 

If you have a child who turns five in 2012 or 2013 please fill out an enrolment form as spaces in Year 1 will be limited due to the number of enrolments we have already received. 

Staff celebrated Teachers’ Day last Friday.  A big thank you to our Board of Trustees for afternoon tea, to Bronwyn Bradley for the bubbles and Vanja Thomas for the cupcakes.  It was certainly enjoyed by all and staff felt very appreciated.

Thank you to our PTA for the cheque for $15,000 to pay for our new foyer chairs, the reupholstering of the library window seat, repainting the playground games, the colour photocopier, visualiser and much more.  Staff and students are benefiting from your fundraising.

A reminder to students that our Rich Challenge home work needs to be completed and signed by your teachers by Friday 18^th November.  We would like students to share some of their amazing projects at assemblies during Weeks 3, 4, and 5.

Catholic Schools’ Cross Country/Auckland Kids Marathon – A big thank you to Ms Rachel Gleeson for all the time, enthusiasm and effort she puts in to preparing students for sporting events.  We are very fortunate to have such a committed teacher with responsibility for sport.
